Choose the best of the USED amps

HI guys,

i did my research but could not zero in on my choice, therefore this question.

need to buy a 2 channel stereo amp. dont have the speakers yet so the choice if speakers along with the chosen model can really help. (not looking for above 20k for speakers)

here are my options:

1. Used Yamaha A500 Integrated amp - Rs. 6500
2. Used Rotel Pre and power amp - Rs. 18500
3. Used Nakamichi AV1 - Rs. 15000
4. Used Techincs A 800 - Rs. 10500
5. New Norge

Primary use for Turntables and my FLAC. i listen to rock most of the times.

please suggest the best for me.

My choice would be the Rotel pre and Power , but proper care should be taken when purchasing the speakers or else you could end up buying a brighter system, Also whats the model no. of the rotel pre and power. The rotel Power amps are better then their Pre.
The Nak AV1 is a Prologic AV receiver and for the asking price a big NO.
I have not used the Yamaha and technics so cant comment.

You haven't given details of the Rotel set-up but that is what I would be considering. You should hook it up with the speakers you plan to use to conduct a test b4 making a final decision.

Nakamichi being pro logic must be 15 yrs old.
Is technics SU-A 800?

I feel Norge is overrated,My sansui A-E 970 straighaway blew the pants off of top of the line norge...and my sansui is low or mid end model ,not at all hi end like Sansui AU-D11

for that matter many vintage amps are good , ever lesser "favorite " non hi fi brands like Hitachi ,JVC and even Mitsubishi had some good amps

For < 15 k, settle for Topping TP20 + JBL Control 1 with any CDp/DVDp (analogue out) for scintillating music output ... any genre ....

The above can take the pants off any known combo within 60-70 k. Tried and tested ...... hyeah:

Definitely; I recently did a A-B comparison of Parasound Pre with my Vintage Luxman Integrated. Luxman was the winner.

Oh,,,,, Santhol bhai has Jamo FS speakers on sale .... :licklips: lovely speakers.... Try them if you are interested.... Amp you can try for a used norge or nad..

Jamos shld be pretty matching to the listening.. But true rock or heavymetal you shld look for Paradigm monitors (Titans or Mini) or Klipsch bookshelf speakers.. I find them more suited than other brands... Just my ears thou...
