I am setting up new home and I am looking for a home theatre system for the living room.
For now my budget is about 30-50k INR. So I am not sure if I should but off the shelf 5.1 or 3.1 set up or but the receiver and set up everything separately.
All the 5.1 HT systems I see are with soundbars. Are they any good? Any option that has proper speakers. Any such off the shelf 3.1 system that can then be upgraded to 5.1 if required?

If I go the other route, what are some budget-friendly options for receiver/sub/LR speakers/Centre speaker? Cna it be done in a budget and upgraded later?

I also would like to be aesthetic. Something I can fit into a TV wall. any concealed speaker options?

I know these are a lot of questions. ASking them because I am not able to decide which way I should go. Thanks in advance.

Considering your budget, good sound bar option is ok. These will be wall mounted and aesthetically pleasing. But soundbars have its own limitations. If you wish to invest more in future, then built-up your system in parts. You can buy used also. But first of all, audition available systems yourself in shops and then decide. You need to overcome initial wow feeling while listening for the first time. Lol..

Cheers
