1080p Laptop output on my HDTV

Hi,
I recently bought a DELL laptop in US and got it to India. I connected my Laptop to my Samsung 32"LED TV, which supports full HD via a HDMI cable. But to my shock, when I set the resolution to 1920x1080, the output does not properly fit my entire TV screen, and the image appears a bit blurry. Does anyone know what might be the reason? Could it be that US laptops transmit a different mode of signal via HDMI?

It can be PAL/NTSC issue.
From graphic option,set HDMI output as Indian PAL.
