160w 6ohm 5.1 channel av receiver or amp

Hi

Given that almost every device is going digital, better to go for an AVR which is 5.1 or 7.1/2.

Atleast you can connect all devices thru HDMI and your TV.....you can use the AVR in stereo to enjoy good music and HT mode for movies....

Given the output requirements, you need to look at mid segment or high end models from Denon / Marantz / Pioneer LX series, Rotel / NAD etc...it all depends on your budget.....

Depending on what speakers you are going to use, better to audition these avrs and decide for yourself....trust your ears.....all the best....which speakers you intend to hook up?

Hi

Based on the speaker specs provided, you could look at Denon x510 or X500....Marantz NR1504...Pioneer 300 or 500 series of AVRs....even Yamaha ......

I assume your subwoofer is not powered and hence you may need to purchase one....

If you look at entry level avr from onkyo, you would be able to connect your passive subwoofer to it...don't remember the model number...guess a simple google search on avrs with capability to connect a passive subwoofer would yield some names...all the best...
