29" CRT or 32" LCD within 75cms width

I currently have a 21" TV. I want to upgrade to either a 29" CRT or a 32" LCD.
But my limitation is that I have a TV shelf with 75.5cm width.
I dont want to change my TV shelf for various reasons.

Can someone suggest a 29" CRT or a 32" LCD that fits this width. Height should not be a problem. Please dont suggest 26" LCD.

One of my friend suggested Onida Neo (29" CRT) would fit. (Anybody can confirm? ). Just wanted to check other options, if any.

Edit: I mentioned 75cm in title, but 75.5 should be ok.

Well, one does not require to have full support on the base of any TV.

What you need to be careful about is the CG ... ie centre of gravity of your cabinet or TV stand. Here, the depth of the cabinet comes into play. If the thing has enough depth that it can connect the entire base plate of the TV, then absolutely fine. Even if the TV body sticks out from the sides, then no issue at all.

I too have a similar set-up. 29" CRT on a tallish cabinet holding other AV gadgets. That thing is about 600 mm width and 450 mm depth, and 900 mm height. This has been made to accomodate a 42/50 " plasma for the future.

But mine is not an "open stand" like yours. Its a "shelf" with side covered. Backside open for air circulation. Hope you understand.

Check the pics carefully .......

Mine is side and top covered, backside open. The TV is on top, while the centre speaker, DVD player, set top box and AVR placed on different shelves.

I think, you did not check the pic in detail.

oh yes, if your TV section is covered, then ok........... My TV section does not have any covering.

A pic from your side should do away with the confusion and detailing.
