Hello everyone, i read many threads here and finally decided to make account and ask particularly about my need.
I want to use 32" TV as monitor and my budget is 33K.
I searched and found 2 models
Sony 32cx420 LCD 32K
Samsung 32"EH5000 LED 33k

I will sit at 3-4feet so my question is
1. How much 1080p and 720p will affect if use TV as monitor cause sony LED model also around 33K but not full HD, its wvga. I am worried about 1080p is not enough for 32'size and otherhand i saw many told that they are using it without problem of clarity.
2. There is any problem using 32" LED/LCD as monitor?
3. Sony pic quality is better but Samsung giving LED model in same cost. So which should i pick, LED performs better and gives more clarity as monitor use?
4. Any other model if better then these, please suggest.

Hi please check this Sony model - Bravia EX330

KLV-32EX330 : EX330 Series : BRAVIA HD TV (LED & LCD) : Sony India

This is within your budget and its a nice tv for its price. Hope this helps.Tc.

I watched this model. It has wxga display resolution, do you think its enough for 32" TV to use as monitor instead 1080p in cx420? Text clarity won't be affected much?
This model although has 100hz instead 50hz in cx420.
Don't know whats better to pick, either 100hz LED 720p or 1080p lcd..price is same.

I watched this model its WXGA resolution but 100hz and led. I don't know whats better to choose 1080p lcd or this model.
Do you think wxga resolution will be good enough for 32"tv for text clarity?
I thought 1080p is must for 32"tv if use as monitor.

Hi i think for 32inch tv 720p is more than enough. I dont know if 1080p its a must for computer monitor.

I am confuse too. I think at 7-8 feet it doesn't make any difference but if i sit close near like at 3 feet, it may be show granny picture due to 720p.

I have tried a 720p TV as a computer monitor and the picture quality is Unacceptable.... VERY poor.

I suggest that you look at the Monitor speccs of an Apple iMAC ( Apple ) and aim to get similar resolution.

Why not a dedicated computer monitor instead of a TV ? If getting a TV I'd suggest get 1080p resolution one. 720p isn't great on a 32 inch computer "monitor".

Just a small pointer before you spend too much on a 32 inch computer monitor.

Windows 8 enables Touch Screen usage .....

32' monitor will be costly as compare to HDTV so i thought 1080p lcd/led might do job and looks awesome
