32inch tv with laptop input

Hi,
I am looking for a 32 inch tv or lesser to connect to my laptop as the screen of my compaq laptop has damaged,so i want to use my tv with dual purpose. Budget less than 50k.

You can use the VGA out of your laptop if it has no HDMI out. Most TVs have VGA port for PC connection.

Its no prb, use the D-Sub/VGA connector from lappy to LCD tv and use the stereo out from lappy to audio in in TV. Its done !!!:hyeah:

Alternatively, you can use this USB to HDMI adapter as well. If there is anyone you know, coming from US, can bring it for you.
I am using mine for audio outout from my laptop to AVR so far. Have not tested the video quality yet. I have seen some youtube videos and this device is supposed to show 1080p video as well.

Trust hfv to give all solutions!!
Anyway, you don't need the usb to hdmi converter unless you want to keep only one cable. Since your laptop doesnt have hdmi o/p its graphics card doesnt support HD. So hdmi vga output should be ok. Plus the TVs nowadays do their own processing, so pocture quality should be good.

@Nishant06....correction!
My laptop is not having any HDMI but still when I connected my HD monitor (samsung) with my laptop, it worked perfectly. However I was able to play couple of full hd (1080p) movies in my laptop+monitor combination and it was able to display in 1080p. If you were trying to mean blu-ray by the term "HD", then only it stands true. Reference here.
Obvously, I cannot have DTS-HD or DTS-Master audio through my laptop as I don't have HDMI. :sad:
