I have seen the 3D technologies available at this moment. Not saying that they are not good, but they do fall short of my expectations..The perception towards 3D in my mind would be actually appraised when we do not need any glasses to see 3D.

Toshiba already has rolled out glassless 3D television.. I guess it is soon to hit the Indian market with a price tag of around 12 lac INR.. Rave reviews are coming in for the TV but the hefty price tag has to ease out for most of us to lay our hands on it

Toshiba became the first brand to launch their glasses free 3D TV but it's still to come up in indian market and as chaos had already mentioned about the price tag so it will be too costly for a normal consumer to afford for at the beginning. We can expect a drop in price when other brands too start developing these types of 3D TVs.
Looking at the present market of 3D Tv in india, we can say Passive tech is the best one to go for at present moment.

Well I'm not sure whether you know or not but Auto-Stereoscopy is in its very nascent stage and currently glassless 3D solutions do not deliver a 3D experience on par with the glasses 3D tech (be it Active or Passive).

I share your sentiments. But 3D glasses have come a long way from the red and blue cellophane films in a white frame. Like the evolution of any technology, 3D too is coming of age. From getting headaches through watching 3D on active 3D TVs wearing those heavy electronic glasses, to watching passive 3Ds with polarized glasses, 3D has come a long way. LG, in particular, is a pioneer in passive 3D with its FPR based 3D TVs. And I am absolutely certain that soon you will get glasses-free 3D. Till then, why not engage yourself in enjoying the most advanced 3D technology available to us?
