40"/42" lcd tv for 45-55k.

I'm from Cochin and want to buy a 40"/42" LCD TV in the price range of 45-55k.. I've got a final price quote of 47k for LG42LD460 and 54.5k for Sony Bravia KLV-40NX500 inclusive of the Diwali offers and all.. Searching the net, i found a few good reviews for the said LG model but couldn't find nothing much on the Sony model.. If the NX500 is anything as good as the LG model, I would prefer Sony for the monolithic design looks smashing and also for the brand image and reliability.. Could anyone please enlighten me more on the said two models, especially the Sony KLV40NX500 and advise the best buy?.. Also I hear after-sales service of Sony is lousy compared to LG.. your take please?..

Did you check out the LD650 / Sam C650 series ? If you features wise sony takes a back seat but looks as you said it is a killer no doubt..

About the after sales service part it is a different experience in each case . So can not make a generalized statement saying "Lousy" ... I am using a Sony LCD for past 4 years and never have had to call the customer care .

I am using a panasonic 42useries lcd tv ,it has a awesome pq compared to sony and sammy but it will not be having usb port, I need not want to say about panny cos all know that panny is one of the best in quality ,it cost for me 50500
