40/42" LCD TV under 50k

Greetings,

I am looking at the possibility of buying an LCD TV in the near future (no fixed date).

My budget is around 50k (can go maybe 1-2k higher, but would highly prefer to stay under the psychological barrier of 50k).

I've looked at the LG 42LD460 and Samsung 40C550. One thing I was not sure about was if the C550 has Wi fi and Ethernet. I read on a website that it does and that has piqued my interest significantly, because I stream football matches regularly and would find such a feature very handy indeed.

I'd really like if someone could confirm this and also give an idea of the price at which it would be available in Mumbai.

I guess only the LD460 can fit your budget constraint...amongst respectable brands...also look at Toshiba Regza...but if price is the only factor...you can look at Vu or Videocon

It turns out that I can go higher than 55k.

I'm looking at the 42EX520 since it seems to have some rather attractive financing options from a certain store. It's an edge lit LED TV, so my question now is - what is the difference in picture between an edge lit and full LED TV?

This TV costs around 60k, but the down payment and EMIs seem reasonable enough.

Also, I would really like an answer about the 40C550's internet capabilities - that feature is very very crucial for me.

As I said, I was able to spend more and Bajaj has a very convenient financing scheme with no interest for 17 months.

So I took the jump after seeing the motion flow in action in the showroom.

yeah, it has a 100Hz refresh rate that would be ideal for fast moving pictures like sports.. Enjoy the WC

The financing was a 2k down payment with a 3k EMI for 17 months. They required the usual, proof of address and the like.

The deal was closed in 15 minutes once the set was decided
