40 inch LED - Toshiba L2400 or Panasonic A300

Check picture quality and warranty.

Buy the one which looks better to you.

I never buy something which is not looking better to me. I posted in this forum to get opinion from people who have some experience with either of this TV.

Anyway thanks for your reply.

Congratulations!

Please do post pictures. What I meant by the previous post is that all other features take a back seat except PQ and SQ, when buying a TV.

All other shortcomings can be compromised one way or the other but not the above two.

In Delhi, I bought Toshiba L2400 for Rs.35.5K with 3 years warranty (Toshiba is issuing a separate warranty card for 2 years extended warranty during the Diwali sale) and a Nikon L29 camera worth 4K. Without camera, they were ready to sell it for less but I thought I would either gift it to relatives or sell it at Olx.

I don't know why the prices are higher in Bangalore despite the vat rates on TV are same in both metros.

I must say that the blacks on Toshiba are much darker than the LG and Samsung models which were on display at the showroom. That clinched the purchase in favor of Toshiba plus 3 years warranty.

My piece had some firmware problems with its built-in media player but Toshiba decided to replace the TV without any hassle. Today I got the new one which was manufactured this month.

I have decided to upgrade my plan to 47 inches. Now Toshiba L2400 is avaulable for around 59K with 3 year extended warranty, L29 camera. Meantime, i got another offer from LG, 47Lb5600, for approxmimately same price , 60K, which include a flexible wall mount (7K), 2 year extended warranty and a DVD player (2k, which i really do not want, but LG is not ready to sell without it).

I am now thinking towards LG model because the flexi mount is very good and LGs reputations and network is more than Toshiba. And also it has more HDMI ports. However I could not find much reviews on both models in ineternet. I could not conclude myself on the PQ of both models.

Any thoughts?

Can u tell me from which dealer in delhi and what was the quoted price?
What are the audio out present optical/3.5mm etc as these are not given in the Toshiba site.

How is the sound quality? Is it enough for a 10 by 15 room?
How didi u test the number of hours used when u bought the test i.e. to check whether it was a demo piece.
How was the exchange done? by the company or the dealer
I am comparing with Samsung(basic model full HD is available for 40000) and LG which are about 5000 more.
Is the warranty comprehensive

I visited Unitlet showroom last day to buy LG47LB5610 - After so much negotiation, they agreed to give me this at 60K in exchange with my 10 year old 21 inch CRT. This include a DVD player, which I do not want. Same time, the sales man informed that he can give Panasonic 410D, 50 inches for the same price (60k) without any free items.

So I am confused again - LG47LB5610 or Panasonic 50 inch A 410 D? LG's advantage is flexi wall mount where Panasonic is bigger in size. I think LG has a better after sales support. Frankly I could not comment the PQ as both looks similar to me. Can any one help? I want to buy this within a day.
