I'd want to buy one and gift it to my parents who are into sports and soaps. They currently have a normal SD set-top box and would be buying an HD one.
But, since I have Prime, Hotstar and Netflix subscriptions, I would love to get a tv that has it built-in so that I can move them away from the 'soapy' stuff as its bad for their mental health
So, I would love to buy a tv with the following features
1. Good upscaling
2. Adaptive contrast and colour with the lighting of the room
3. Decent DAC (analogue audio out) for the integrated amp (stereo amp)
4. Good colours, contrast and black level (for movies on Prime and Netflix)
5. No gaming features and a high refresh rate needed
Budget: 50k max (would love to be around 40k TBH)
I actually bought the Sony Bravia X74 43" and cancelled before it was shipped because a lot of people said it has insufficient brightness for the HDR content of Prime.
At this point, I'm gonna wait for the Diwali sale so that I get more time to research.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
