Hi all,

I just saw a comment from a hyd member that 50XT50 is 50K in Hyderabad.

Assuming its correct and not 42XT50, I am eager to know if Metro Bangalore stocks any 50 inch plasmas.

Anybody who has access to Metro - would appreciate if you could help me:clapping:. I am in a desperate rush to get a TV before Olympics begin. Thx

Did not notice the UT and ST models there. Didn't pay attention to the Samsung's either, sorry! Boxes of 50xt50 are very prominently stacked in the TV section. They also have it setup in the demo area.

If you have their phone number can you give them a quick call pls and ask them abt the mentioned models..thx

50xt50 is on offer for 50k without glasses..confirmed today
A pair of glasses costs Rs. 6,500k. So with 2 glasses, the price works out to 63k.

Hey brother, I think that you should stop deliberating and take the plunge. The water may be cold when you hit, but very soon the body will adapt. ;) The more you think, the more doubts you will have.

I mean that you should go with the Samsung E550 at 78k. For further peace of mind and safety, forget the Samsung insurance (even if offered), take a house contents insurance and also have a stabilizer+spike guard.

Even after the above, your mind is still not at rest, take the ST50 and join the club. 42" will do since you watch TV mainly and not too many movies.

I think he got lured into the offer and went for 50XT50 even if his heart was set on Samsung - $$$ matters..

Thanks George. I just called up Metro and they said I can walk in and buy without any card!!!..so within an hour of receiving that phone call, I was a proud owner of a 50XT50. Ordered 4 Samsung 2012 glasses from Amazon UK for 1K a pop. So didnt lose out massively on not getting the free 3d Glasses.

Only point of contention is whether my TV too will get the free HTIB. Will be an added bonus:clapping:

Free HT is not being offered with 50XT50 - have confirmed with 3 dealers on weekend and also seen the SMS that a dealer got from company on the 12 models (LED,Plasma) on which this scheme is being given, 50XT50 was not amongst those. The stock was still not available and hence I am waiting for the same...

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
