A really Heart pumping set up

Sealed cabinets might be ok? And there are signs of acoustic treatment too.

My guess is that this is a specifically-home-cinema setup that sounds just like its owner wants it to sound. "Heart pumping" might be the right words!
It's a rare treat to experience a home theater like the one Rob built. It is definitive in the truest sense of the wordI have not heard a significantly better-sounding system at any price, and many systems that cost far more cant touch the fidelity of his ultimate-bass home theater.

"It's at a point now where I'm completely happy. I have no desire for more. If anything I'd add more transducers; they were one of the best upgrades."

I guess there is some great hardware there --- but it is not a spectacle for us mere 2-chanel-stereo guys to get exited over.

With those huge subs pushed close to the wall in that tiny room, all I can think is boomy :-P

That room is 25 ft wide, so not really tiny. ;)

Although, I agree with stacking 4 subs in one corner is not really my idea too. One can get better results by spreading these. I think he has another thread where the room measurements are. He has done quite a bit of acoustic treatment as well. In all, he may have taken care of the room response.

Lots of people at avs are trying to get into below 10 hz and that too with reference SPL. Flat to 20 is not the goal anymore.
