Can A good 5.1 sound card be a substitute for the typical Receivers (which we get from the Yamaha, Denon) which cost so much .. so that I can buy good speakers ...

Tarzan - if a good sound card was a substitute for expensive receivers, Denon would be out of business and Creative would own the market!

You will still be needing an amplifier. But you can checkout active 5.1 system like logitech z5500...
