Dear fellow members,
It gives me immense pleasure to be part of India's leading AV forum. Though I have been reading a lot about the finer nuances of stereo and hi-fi sound, my busy job never gave me enough time to read as well as post. Therefore, I did not register anywhere as I knew I would be unable to post. Now, having retired happily and back home, I hope to make up for that.
I am a die-hard music freak but I do not believe in audio voodoo and snake-oil based audio cure. I have been lucky enough to have been there, done that and learnt some lessons, most of them the hard way. Now, I believe only in science and simplicity.
I am not too choosy about brands and music genre either as long as it sounds good to me. I like my music transparent, clean and sometimes, a bit too loud for a decent neighbourhood. I am not particularly rigid about whether its vinyl, cassettes, CDs, SACDs, FLAC, WAV or ALAC so long as it sounds good to the ears.
I hope to learn a lot more from our very learned forum members in the times to come.
