After reading a lot about flickering issues in active 3D TV's, I decided to test a few myself and it was only in Panasonic where I felt a bit of it. Samsung and Sony have improved a lot in that department. Does that now mean that the tables have turned in favor of active 3D's again?

Well, good to see at least someone who is not blinded by LG's Passive 3D campaign. As I've repeatedly mentioned time and again in the past two months, 2012 Active sets do not have flickering issue.

Flickering is depend upon the way how your 3d work. I really dont think so that samsung is offering any flicker issues in their recent launch tvs. Sometime flickering is so fast so we dont feel it.. different-different opinion...

Not really. But if these brands have been able to bring down the flicker levels in their active 3D sets, then it's only a new kind of headache for prospective buyers of whether to choose an active or a passive 3D TV?

The issue of flickering has been well addressed by both Samsung and Sony with their recent launches. But I still think LG's passive 3D is a much safer bet if 3D viewing aspect is taken into consideration.
