Advice for noob HT.

Hi all, I am looking for advice and clearing of some doubts from all.
I have an existing sony HTIB bought around 8-9 years ago from the us. It's working fine but the upgrade bug has bitten so it needs to be scratched.

My room is around 12*25 ft but the speakers will be in 12*13 area. Have liked the denon x1000.

Profx offered me a demo with polk speakers and my own sony speakers. The polk demo was brill, my speakers sounded tinny by comparison.

My requirements.
(a) clear good sound. Dont have a great 'ear'. you can say I am 99% of the population.
(b) Usage will be 80% movies ( torrented) & hd dth. 10% gaming and 10% music.
(c) Would love to play movies / music off a usb stick, or stream if from my desktop. ( i have wifi connectivity too)

My Budget:
Max 50K

Now the questions.
Profx quoted 42K, another dealer has quoted 33K for same with bill and warranty. Is it ok if I don't buy from profx? Since guarantee/warranty will be taken care of by profx them being auth dealers n all.
Any suggestions other than the Denon? And where I can Demo the avr?
Suggestions for sat-sub are welcome. polk 6750 was quoted at 32000/-
