Hi,
Recently I picked up this turntable along with the Akai 1020 oldschool receiver.
It wasnt working. Hence gave it to the techie to fix it. He says the motor mechanism is not right. The stylus is missing. Audio Technica stylus was recommended.
What do you suggest? Trash it or is there someplace where we can still get parts?

It seems to be a pretty nice belt drive TT, with a 4 pole sync motor.
Maybe the motor just needs lubrication.
Post your issue on audiokarma - maybe someone has
the service manual for it.
