I have a 1TB iOmega media player (bought in 2010) which is connected to my TV using a HDMI cable which I use to watch downloaded movies and tv shows. In my living room, Philips Blu Ray player (BDP2900) bought 5 years ago [which allows pluggin of a HDD using USB cable).
I am now planning to upgrade my 5.1 HRT system of Onkyo which is connected to my Philips Blu Ray player. I was considering buying new media players/ Blu Ray players which support HDD connections considering that the present ones are 5/7 years old.
I am struggling to get one as currently only streaming devices are available. Since streaming devices need WIFI and I am not keep to have WIFI on all the time, I am looking for a suitable alternative.
Could someone suggest a suitable device
