hi guys,
i am in process of auditioning speakers and got my ears on Polk Rti A7 instantly liked the sound. i auditioned it with denon 1911 sound produced was good at least in comparision to klipsch rf 62.
i want to know is NAD C356Bee or C 326 bee will match with Polk RTI A7? As i am really impressed with Nad integrated amp.

or which amp will be perfect for RTI A7?

Regards and thanks

either will drive them... but if your budgets permits 356 will be better for A7s. although if you are rejecting rf62 after demo with avr 1911 then its not fair! hear them with nad and then decide.

More power from amp is always good. There are quite a few good nad amps for sale in this forum from Balagopalan and flanker.

Check them out.:)

Polks are one of the easier speakers to drive. The denon or NAD should be able to easily drive them. Pick the one that sounds nice to you as both pair well with Polk. Make sure to only get the NAD Bee versions as the quality of non-Bee models were not good.

hi,

i have Denon 1611 5.1 AVR & i have polk 6750 satellites. Now in future i want to go for towers & i have shortlisted Polk Audio RTI A7 though i haven't heard it

big question is that my avr supports 75watts @ 8ohms & 110 watts@ 6ohms so would my avr drive these polk tower speakers well & can give a impressive audio output or for which floor standers i can go as i cannot think to upgrade my avr as it is hardly 10 months old

try the 355 or higher series of NAD. The C356BEE are more forward then the C355
( IMO ) and the Polks are on the brighter side too. Kapvin on this forum has the RTI A7's.. PM him and check.

anyways.. please listen to the Polks with the NAD and then decide.. I think the NAD 326 will be too less. Try the 355 or HIGHER. partha on this forum had a NAD C355BEE for sale. Try him but he is in chennai.

The 1611 can drive most FS from Polk , Wharf, Klipsch, Paradigm etc
So you should have an issue with power.

The A7's have nominal impedance of 8 ohms and 89db efficiency (not the most efficient but pretty good), so your AVR should be able to drive them without hassles.

Below is a link that helps you calculate approximately the sound levels based on speaker and amp ratings. I put in 20 watts for your AVR as thats probably what you get as output. Even then the sound levels are pretty high and could damage ones ears if listened to for long periods.

Peak SPL Calculator

Read the caveats on the page re: placement and room acoustics etc...

ive heard the A7 with the 326. it sang beautifully. its really a great speaker. but the guy demo-ing the set also told me that the 356 would sound equally good but would go a lot louder. if its for HT usage, ill suggest the 356.

and about denon... never heard it so cant comment. personally, iam saving for the A7 + 356.

cheers

I heard an old POLK (more than 10 years old) with Denon 1912. (My BIL had to move to Threshold AMP since his Onkyo was not able to drive it). It was very good and 1912 was able to drive it properly.

Hence 1911 shouldn't have any problem with A7.

I will vote for Denon to go with Rti A7, I personally own NAD 356BEE & Polk Rti-A7, After buying that combination I had a chance at Pro-FX to audition Denon & Rti-A7 combination. Guess what I went there? My answer is, best driving amp-speaker combo I ever heard. Now I am trying to sale my 17 month old NAD 356BEE to get a Denon.

RTI A7s sing if enough power is fed to them.I earlier powered them with denon 2309.Everything was fine. But it lacked the oomph.
Now I drive them with pioneer sc-37.150W of raw power totally changed the dynamics and my RTIs got a fresh lease of life.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I was just looking for that stereo combo to hear pure music & music only. I can just comment that I was able to understand the lyrics or voice of singers more than ever before. A smooth silky feeling with instrument separation & nice imaging was most attractive part. The room was acoustically treated and surrounding was saturated with high quality sound wave. There was no lack or hole at any part of entire spectrum at least to my ear. It was full of lively experience I will remember forever. One thing I forget to notice or ask which model of Denon they were using. That's no matter, next time I will arrange another session to fulfill all my quest.

Hello veterans

I am very new to this game. I own a pioneer vsx 831 amp and rti a7 and tsx 150c for my centre so currently its a 3.0 setup. Ill be honest..due to lack of knowledge i just bought wherever i got a good deal. Never heard about this matching and all. Now the thing is speakers are working fine all good.. but i have cranked up the channel level all the way up to +10db level for all the three speakers to get the desired sound. Can somebody plese suggest me whether my amp is fine for my speakers.
