Amplifier for tannoy mercury v4

Hello,

As a newby to this forum i have a question on buying an amp. I have bought a set of Tannoy's recently and want to buy an amp to replace my old sony STR DE 135. I,m thinking of A cambridge audio 650a and a marantz mp-7003.

Any suggestions?

Can someone tell something on the character of the Tannoys. And what that means for the selection of the amp. Does rotel fit better with the Tannoy's then marantz or audio acoustic?

I'm looking at buying a Tannoy v4 myself mostly for music. Can you please let me know from where and how much you got yours for?

I'm looking at pairing it with a Yamaha as1000 which I think is 90wpc.

I bought them in Holland (The Hague). Normal price is 600, but i got a nice discount because a deal with a second hand pair Tannoys (F4 I think) went wrong.

I'm pleased with the sound but have to buy a good amp.

sorry for late reaction... I have bought a second hand audio analogue primo for 220,-. Iit's 9 years old and it has been serviced. Ready for another 9 years
It' sounds very good and i think its a fine combination! No treble/bass control, just good sound.
