Please help me to find an Integrated Amplifier within a budget of 2 lacs (Pre-owned) for my Vienna Acoustics Beethoven Baby Grand Speakers.

Malvais accuphase on sale is little more then your budget but it surely will serve you mighty well for many many years to come
It will be worth spending that little extra

About the amp speaker synergy you will have to do a little bit of reading

The Accuphase E-460 is way beyond my budget. So I have to look for something else.

My suggestion, take the Trigon Energy. It is within your budget and at the price for which it is offered in India it is best value for money. No doubt it beats all others in it's class.

My present Amplifier is a vintage Accuphase E-206. I want an Amplifier which will be a real upgrade.

Difficult choice you have of besting the E-206... Coming from that amp, doubt if you will like anything under 2-3 lakhs....

Gnanasekhar, you can look at Bryston pre/ power combos in the used market. But they would cost about 2.5-3L. And would they be better than accuphase? Not likely.

Having owned both I can tell you that it takes a very expensive amp to beat accuphase.

Even your older model.

I have the Musical Fidelity A-5 and it was not for my liking. After the arraival of the E-206 my total system entered in another leage. I have only two reservations about the E-206 It has no remote control and the other thing is the age of the amp. Please let me know about your opinions about Plinius 9200.

The plinus is not bad, but in the same league as the musical fidelity amps at best. Not in the Same league as the accuphase stuff.

Not a fan of the 9200. However I do like the sa-125 and sa-ref

I have no reservations with Accuphase E-206. Comparing with MF A-5 it is excellent. The 2 things I got in my mind are
1. Age of the Amplifier.
2. It comes without remote control.

PLEASE SHARE YOUR OPINION ABOUT ACCUPHASE E-308. Can I find any improvement going to E-308.

naim nait 5i is an excellant choice.cyrus 6a is another chioce,add the balance to your speaker

Naim bait 5i will not be able to drive the speakers! Nor will the Cyrus!


@gnanashekar: the 308 is a good amp too. But again it is atleast 3 generations old!

Newer McIntosh amps are seriously good if you can source them. Most of them run quite hot though so be sure to have plenty of air conditioning/circulation.
