any marantz MCR 610 owners, need feedback

Well, I have a CR503 in the bedroom and am happy with it.
I see you have Naim and Harbeth. Really wonder if you will be able to enjoy such budget equipment.
Surely you can get a demo in Bangalore.

I am planing to buy marantz mcr 610. I would like to know your feedback on the same.

I bought the Marantz MCR 610 with Wharfedale 121 speakers from HiFiMart.

I like the sound. Very musical.

The network player capabilites are great. I tried AirPlay, Internet Radio, and hooking up an iPod directly via the USB port.

Its compact, and looks good, but plastic.

Am not an expert, but sounds very much like a Marantz PM6003 and CD6003, with convenience of being in a compact unit.

Thanks for the reply. I sold the naim 2 days back. I was confused, but then now its gone. Harbeth are speakers that do not have much demand from amp. Yes they are at best with good amp. But still can satisfy a listener like me who is not too demanding. All I want is a system that makes me love music and not irritated when its played. So my experiment continues...

I just wanted to give a try. May be ill be happy with it. I have used budget equipments, and the ones like Harbeth and Naim. What I learnt is that price does not directly contribute to individual satisfaction. Its all about what you can live with and what you cant. So owning expensive equipment does not mean greater satisfaction. You are always going to look for better equipment and may be its an never ending pursuit...

No matter how good the equipments are, you are not going to get the best out of it due to the imperfect rooms we have. Its all about knowing what makes you happy and finding what is good for your room. Its an very expensive hobby, but some crazy people like me are never going to quit.

What i would like to know is the % of FM happy with all-in-ones. Is there a significant difference?

Thanks for your reply. It was very useful. I had a pm6004 and i liked it. So chances are that mcr610 will end my pursuit.
