Hello everyone,

I have a living room of size 34in X 13 in. Appreciate some inputs on where to mount speakers for best Audio.

Thank You!

Can you post a diagram of the room showing where things like doors and seating are.

Attached is the Floor plan. Sofa set and TV are placed as per the diagram. Dining is moved from middle to all the way to other end.

If you want to add 2 more speakers, which your receiver is capable of handling, you can either do Wides (fills the gap between the Fronts and Surrounds) or Heights (makes use of Atmos and DTS:X).

Thank you Sanjay for your effort. Really appreciate it. Currently I have the below setup. Sorry recreated the floor plan to exactly match with my floor. Pink blocks are the Speakers.

Guyz,
please do suggest me in setting speakers height and direction, guess thats very critical to get the best.

Pink blocks are the Speakers.
That's a huge gap between your Fronts and Surrounds, which are placed where the Rear speakers in a 7.1 set-up typically go.

If you want to do a 7.1 layout, which your receiver can do, then leave all the speakers where they currently are, and add a pair of speakers along the sides of the listening area.

This case I will move the rear speakers to Listening area for now.. coz I have only 5 speakers. Also any suggestions on height of speakers to mount ?

Thanks in Advance.

Sanjay, as per my living room and Sofa placement, I can have Right side rear speaker placed parallel to my right Ear, where as left side it can not. Please see the attached image with Green arrows.

Fronts should be as close to ear level as possible. Surrounds should be a couple feet above ear height, so the tweeters have a clear line of sight to everybody's ears and no one's head blocks the sound.

Place both Surrounds a couple feet above ear height. Also, move the right Surround forward so that it is directly opposite the left Surround (you don't want an asymmetrical sound field).

His display, AVR, speakers, disc player, are listed in every single one of his posts.

On a PC, yes, but not on tapatalk . My bad, I should have checked. I do think the AVR should be able to handle the speaker distance. I've heard a Bose setup with the surrounds pretty far back and yet the sound was good.
The 7.1 is a good idea (wide speakers ahead of the listening seat) but I don't think Bose sells individual pairs of speakers. Could a Telome pair do the trick?

Instead of Wides, which are matrix extracted, he could do 7.1 with Sides slightly ahead of his listening seat and Rears where his surrounds currently are. That should give him excellent rear-vs-side separation in the surround field.

IF he does decide to expand his layout in the future, he can just get a 2-speaker version of what he currently has.

Can I buy Bose speakers( two ) and wires without sub ? How much it would be ?

Or Can I use any other speakers with bose 5.1 ?

I will change the setup and update on sound quality.
Don't forget to re-run Audyssey after you move speakers.

Doubt it. Those speakers plug into the Accoustimas module, not directly into the AVR.
Can I use any other speakers with bose 5.1 ?
Sure, but they'll sound different.
