I bought AOC 26" TV within 16 months time, it's power control panel is gone - their customer care reply - now warranty is over - Thank you customer, you have to pay nearly Rs.2700/- that means - Product quality is just fit to pass the warranty period and thereafter it is customer's Good luck or Bad luck the product will work. There is no reliability as far as it's durability is concerned.

So, think 10-times before you opt for AOC product.

aoc TVs have 24 or 36 Months warentee in many cases. Check and revert

This can happen with any make. I know a bundle of Sony & Sammy cases similar to this one.

I remember that AOC was offering 36 month warranty during last year. Check you card as suggested by @hemantwaghe, you may be lucky.

When you go to market to buy stuff - you insist in lowest price, and further try to squeeze any remaining margins. Why do you think any manufacturer would want to give you an over-engineered product for such a price?

ALL consumer electronics face similar issues - whether its a well known "brand" or a lesser known one. The difference in price being the amount a well known brand will spend on advertising and roping in celebrity endorsements - which ultimately you pay for. Besides, you do know that none of the "manufacturers" actually manufacture anything. They just assemble goods sourced from the OEMs.

Ultimately its just the luck factor that lands you with a lemon ... not the brand factor.
