I recent put some effort into getting apple lossless and hires music to stream on my Eversolo DMP A8 and though I will share it here.
It could be the same on the Eversolo DMP A6 not sure though.

Eversolo DMP A8
Firmware version 1.3.30
Apple Music App version 4.8.1

There are two versions of apple music available on the eversolo.
One is the Apple Music App and the other the Apple Music Service
Both can be seen under the Streaming icon on the main screen of the Eversolo
One under Streaming Services and the other under Music Apps.
They are different in their capabilities as I detail below.

They can both be installed an co exist as they use different icons.
Streaming Service version uses an Apple icon, this option can play lossless but not hires music
Music App version use a Music Symbol icon and can play lossless and hires music.

Installing the Music Apps version (seen under the Streaming icon on the main screen but under Music Apps)
This version allows you to change settings once installed and loged in.
You need to update the settings to get lossless and hires audio playback.
Note : Selecting the Music app brings up your library to do the initial settings you need to open it from the Apps icon on the main screen of the Eversolo.
Then click on the three dots at the right upper corner.
Turn on lossless and set Hires for cellular, wifi and download (I suppose wifi should do, but just in case).
Then go to crossfade setting and turn it off (crossfade is not supported when Eversolo EOS engine is On, was stated some place).
Now this app allows playback of hires tracks.
The only issue being the only interface is through the cast feature on the mobile app or directly on the screen of the eversolo.

Installing the Streaming Service version
You can select and install it and following the instructions by just clicking on it.
When installed a prompt indicates that it can only play 44.1 etc.
Once installed it will prompt for login to the apple music service.
This version has no interface to set Audio Quality and so hires can't be turned on.
This version only plays PCM 44.1

Apple Music needs to give full access to their API for Eversolo to be able to do anything in terms of providing Hires playback through their Service.
And there could be royalty involved. As it stands Apple has not opened this up for any 3rd party.
The App version is basically the Anroid app and fortunately already supports lossless and hires music playback.

The Service version has a better user interface through the Eversolo controller app, and is capable of search etc.
The App version is only through screen cast and so is a bit more cumbersome but is usable and needed only if you wish to play hires

Thanks for the detailed overview.

I’ve been using latest Zidoo 8K player. It has the Apple Music app installed on the device and use it listen to Hi-Res on Apple Music using the Cast function. It’s working very good and gave me the best option to listen to Apple Hi-Res in my system

Coming to Apple Music service, it is still not available on the Zidoo devices.
Does either the Apple Music app or streaming service on Eversolo display Bitrate Information? I only see the frequency and bits(16 or 24), but not the bitrate info. Just curious to know.

TIA
