Hi
I need to make a choice between three phones/tablets. I prefer the size of a phone but if the deal is too good then I am OK with living with the bigger size of a tablet.
I have been offered a choice of Note 2 and S4 for the same price (under Rs 20,000) and Note 3 for just a few thousand over.
Would you please tell me the pros and cons of these models so I can make up my mind.
I have uptill 12 noon tomorrow to decide (Friday Jan 3rd).
Thanks for your help.

A friend bought a Note 2 in Mumbai few days back for about 29500 (with bill and proper warranty). This is about 6000 less than it was 6 months ago. If you get it for under 20K, it is a steal. A Note 3 for a few thousands more is even more of a steal. Note 3 it is! It is probably the best Android phablet at this time.

From where are you getting it ? I hope it's not OLX. Coz the offers are too good to be true. Please check before buying. I would also suggest you to go for the Galaxy Note 3 if you're getting it for few thousands more than 20K and it's original.

You should look at how you will be using it. As a long-term and heavy Galaxy S3 user, I can tell you that my usage actually changed over time. Started out with a phone kind of usage model, but the big screen encouraged me to start using it more for browsing, emails, etc. Despite having other tablets etc, I have started using the phone more simply because it is available on my person all the time. The other big boost in my media consumption happened when I upgraded to an LTE connection.

If you think you will go this route as well (or already are!), the Note 3 would probably be a better choice simply because of the larger screen. It is big enough to replace a phone and a tablet. Can't comment anything about the stylus though. Please don't go for the older model though.

With the Note 3, you are getting a heck of a lot more, in terms of screen, processing power, build quality, battery life, etc. Battery life is double that of S4 (11hrs vs 6 hrs), which makes the second biggest difference after screen size. The price increment should not even be an issue, IMHO.

I would be EXTREMELY Cautious, given the prices that you are stating .....

If something is too good to be true ..... its usually not true ! :o
