All,
I am planning to convert the family room ( in my under construction apartment) to a small HT. Need at least five seater, planning to have one set of four seater stressless HT recliner (W 9.5 feet) and one custom made small lounger ( W 20 inches). I will have one feet gap from the side wall to starting of recliner and the lounger will not have any gap to the side wall.
As I am converting a family room to HT, I have only these dimensions to work. My current sound equipment is as below:
1. Harman Kardon AVR 155 ( Audio Video receiver with 40W x 5)
2. Harman Kardon home theatre system 5.1 with powered 200 W RMS sub woofer ( KHTS 9)
As this room is small, I plan to stick with 5.1. However, I am looking to install high quality projector for visual experience. Also, one side of the room, the entire length is window.
I am looking for
a.Thoughts/ feedback on the Sound equipment vis a vis seating arrangements and room dimensions.
b.Help to decide the right screen size of projector.
c.Measures that can be put in place for neutralising the window impact on sound and screen
d.Alternate seating arrangement for 5 people.
