Croma retail shops are offering very very good price on Lg Ultra-Hd TV.

Yesterday i purchased a 40 inch Ultra-Hd Tv from croma retail shop at a very low price then other local brand shops and multi-brand/non-brand shops.
They offered me a deal i could not refuse:yahoo::lol::licklips:

May be they are offering low prices during the world-cup period

So rush to your nearest shop! go grab the deal, before stock lasts.

Good Luck

Regards

This thread is about Ultra-Hd not Proper 4K, check the thread title.

The price i got is 46,500 - 3000 (Old Tv)= Rs 43.5K Only , for LG 40UF670T, (others were offering around 62000 - 1500 (for old tv) =Rs 60.5), Difference of 17000/-

I got 2 years LG warranty and i purchased 2 years On-site warranty extra for Rs 3650/- , making the warranty to a total of 4 Years:yahoo:

The picture quality vs price ratio is great to me for a ultra-hd Tv and hence the purchase.

A detailed review will follow soon......

what exactly are you playing as your 4k source content? Tatasky 4k or do u actually have the absoulte rare stuff called 4K blu ray player? or is it just the internet downloadable 4K demo content.

Feeding this Ultra-Hd beast from my GTX-950 and Original Bluray disc stuff. The up-scaled picture quality is awesome.I know this is an IPS panel with relatively some what low contrast, but the PQ i am getting even after up-scaling is just great. The colors look fabulous, the sharp picture due to high resolution is also good. There are some "isf" PQ settings which render better quality.

Played the Martian HEVC file using MPC-HC. WOW! was the reaction.

No motion Blur on up-scaling even non-hd stuff is looking good.

I have denon AV-R 2200W, will test its upscaling capability soon. And will download some 4k demo video's.

Getting/Importing 4k Blu-ray player and movies will be my new purchase after this. Right now enjoying whats available. And its worth:yahoo::licklips:

4K is the most commonly used name for content and screens that use 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, some brands prefer the term Ultra HD or UHD for short.

While confusing, there is actually some logic to the new UHD term. That's because it provides a way of distinguishing between the 3,840 x 2,160 resolution adopted by 16:9-ratio TVs and the slightly different 4096x2160 resolution first introduced in digital cinemas (and actually employed by Sonys domestic 4K projector range).

However, 4K is used so widely to describe 3,840 x 2,160 displays and content now that the roots of the technical distinction between the 4K and UHD terms have been all but lost outside of the projection world. In other words, for most people the two terms have become interchangeable.

btw nice deal i dont have chroma in my city and the online price is really high.
anyway flipkart has it for 50k without exchange

Mandeep,

You can get the same from Amazon for 49K. If amazon is selling for 49K, local retailers will surely sell for 2k-3k less.
So I doubt you have not got that much discount. Also check if you got a display unit. You can see it in Settings>General>About TV.

It's a sealed piece, with 2 years warranty, with demo and installation. Amazon/Flipkart price is good but was doubtfull about 2 year warranty or no warranty at all , as LG warning is clearly against online purchase.

Did you get fresh piece finally or not?

This is very common practice. Last time for a friend's purchase we caught it easily as we already taken photo on mobile of a serial number (while demoing) and showed them.

Yes Viper08, finally i got a fresh TV with Zero hours usage. Also got 2 years of extended warranty. :clapping:
We should be aware of such happenings. Common people are easily fooled by such deals.
Updated my blog as well.
