Hi, I have been a long time reader of this Forum as I am trying to create my First HT System. After some looking around I finally pulled the trigger and bought a Denon 2312CI and an Optoma HD20 Projector for Movies ... what's missing? Speakers off course.
Ever since, I have been agonizing between a Polk 5.1 Setup and Off the shelf Boston Acoustics A2310 5.1 Speaker System.
I had been able audition the following Polk Setup
Front channel - Polk TSi200 (did not like RTi A1 as it was little too harsh for my taste)
Center Channel- Polk CS10
Rear Channel - Polk TSi100
SubWoofer - PSW 110 [did not like PSW125 despite the bigger driver was more rattling than Woofing
]
Price: Rs. 47500
On Boston Acoustics A2310 Hts 5.1; While the sound was good but the Sub Woofer(ASW 250) seemed to attract a little too much attention to itself which at times downed the sound from front channels
Price: Rs. 35000
I have a largish kind of room and distance from front channel speaker to seating area would be around 15Ft.
Am not sure if I should go with more fuller Polk book shelf speakers or more easier to setup Boston speaker system which is to be primarily used for movies and music.
Since I have already burned a hole with AV Receiver and Projector am trying to keep my budget on speaker around 40k.
Am hoping some of the more initiated member here would help me out of my dilemma and even suggest any better alternative to Polk or Boston which can easily bought in India given my budget of 40k
