Audyssey in 3300

Wanted to check if this feature is really useful for configuring the Surround sound. Why I ask is 3305 is becoming more commonly available and more offers are seen for it and this feature is the major one missing on 3305.

Officially i have heard 3305 is "successor" to 3300

IIRC, the receiver of both 3300 and 3305 are the same. Audyssey in the receiver is pre-configured with the speakers provided in 3300. In the user-manual of 3300, I read if the speakers are changed, this feature doesn't work. Thus 3305 may have lost out on it.

As far as functionality is concerned, I like to turn Audyssey on to watch movies and off for listening to music. Its a definite plus to have, I wouldn't like to miss out on it for sure.
