Hi Guys,

My HTPC is running Win 8.1 PRO with media center and mobo is DG33FBC Board. So far everything was fine.

But i just noticed yesterday that AVR is not detected. Idont get the video or audio thru AVR. I get an error mentioning the chipsets is not compatible with win 8.1

Ihave checked the following :
1. HTPC HDMI port works fine. TV Connectly directly works.
2. PS3 connected thru HDMI Ports(checked all ports) works.
3. Same Cable of ps3 connected to HTPC / AVR does not work.

Clearly it is not cable or port issue but compatibility issue. I have GT520 card and NVidia devices in sounds (Control Panel) are disabled.

has anyone encoountered such a problem lately?

regards,
Prasanna KV

Try updating the drivers of the Nvidia GPU. It looks like a handshake issue rather than faultiness of either of the devices I believe. Also there is a thread on the forum which talks about the which device needs to be switched on first and the next in exact sequence. I hope you would have seen that if not try that option as well.

If disabled, then try enabling manually.Perhaps going to Device manager and enable manually. If cant then driver re-installation should work.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your suggestions. Stupid me ...issue seems to be with the cable. Wasted 6 hours installing uninstalling drivers. huh...

Guess HDMI Last for just 3-4 years :(
