BDP which plays MKV?

Do any of these players also play MP4? I already have a bluray play (PS3) so just need a player which can play MKV and MP4 with subtitles, not necessarily a blu ray player...

OPPO BDP-83 Blu-ray Disc Player Firmware Update

This is the public beta release from Oppo. Has much better support for mkv. I personally haven't installed it as I don't watch mkv clips. I have checked reviews and found that it is pretty stable.

And problem is that with only FAT32 support you can't have files bigger than 4GB :-( .And that reminds me, can someone please please refer me to some good splitters which can split mkv's to smaller than 4GB sized files?

LG BD390 supports NTFS HDD. MKV above 4GB plays well.
