Hi,
Currently I am using Tata Indicom broadband. I am happy with their customer service which is quite good and uninterrupted internet access.
I currently use their data based plan. May need to upgrade with a higher data plan.

I wonder if there are any other good service providers with any good plans.

I have not tried BB of:
- Airtel
- Reliance
- Bsnl
- Hathway

Tata Indicom plans of my interest:
They have around 80GB/month @ 500kbps (they say it is 1:8 ratio so around 60-70kbps? dont know how this works) for Rs.1100
They have a night unlimited top-up plan as well (with Rs 300 per month.)
considering one of these.

I feel if it aint broke dont fix it ;) But still want to know if I am on the right track.

Thanks!

I have BSNL 4Mbps plan. This works good and most of the time i get download speed 1Mbps. Some sites like streamer.net it do get 3.5Mbps. Means software of 145MB downloaded within 5min.
Reason for uninterrupted service may be I live within 1KM of telephone exchange. So no wire work nor road digging in my area. This section needs to be extremely good.

Cons- if it works then very nice. If does not then wait for 2 days to get their server up. Also these people works on nighttime of week ends. That pisses me off.

Pro- constant speed and cheap rate. Very less individual failure (In last 5 year 2 times). And these were in my house concealed wire water leaked into it.

Have been using Airtel at work and BSNL at home. Was with Tata Indicom for a long time before switching to Airtel, was unhappy with their service and support but this was a long time back and they might have got better now.

Airtel : excellent service and very happy with them.
BSNL : service keeps getting disrupted all the time, but cheaper than most other providers. Have never had to call their customer care as they have a desk in our society, but from what I hear from others their customer care is nothing to write about.

YOU Broadband also looks good with some interesting plans but no idea how their service is. You might want to have a look at them as well, if they do cover your area.

I am on Reliance plan - about 600 kbps - unlimited download / upload plan
about Rs 600 (including all taxes)

Pretty reliable for past 2-3 years.

I am switching from Tikona to You broadband. Some pretty good plans at 12MBPS. Yet to experience the bandwidth.

Tikona service requests login too many times, and difficult to use with your own router. Bandwidth speeds are generally ok, but sometimes too bad.

I have the same TATA BROADBAND and I differ drastically from your view.
The customer care is pathetic they don't know what is going on on the field they just give you fake timelines. They will tell you that you will get the connection in an hour but after 1 hour they will give you the same timelines. My connection goes for two days and no one takes a note of it.

I have only thing to say about your comment that it is a big JOKE.

Hi,

TATA Indicom had worsen in the from you left. The customer care is so pathetic that you will think 100 times before calling them to hear the same thing again and again.

Currently, I am using airtel broadband. Its providing quite a good plan with very good customer service. I would recommend you to use airtel broadband. You can get all the details from site airtel Broadband Fiber Connection Plans | Best ISP in Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad,Mumbai,Pune

Agree that Airtel service is very good. But isn't it little expensive than the other providers? Also with Relaince Jio broadband arround are other providers expected to slash down their rates?

Airtel has been crap for me in all of 2016, I must've registered a total of around 15 complaints in the 10 years I've had the connection, 6 of which where registered in the last 6 months itself.
Is someone else experiencing a similar problem ?

I am using Airtel wireless and it's getting worst day by day
Try to see if spectranet optical fibre is available in your area. I am using it, in last 15 months, good speed 20Mbps/10Mbps. Monthly data - First 24GB is ?850,after that ?170 for each 24GB. I kept quarterly subscription. Service is quick, no downtime. We have fibre optic till duct and CAT5 connection after that.
