Best picture calibration disc

My friend is coming from US in this december.I am planning to get a good calibration disc <=300$.
Experts here can suggest the best one as I do not have any knowledge about this. Also once the disc arrives, we can find a means to share the content.

$300. You are going overboard.

The best calibration disk that I have heard of is the Spears and Munsil HD Benchmark disc that retails around $25. Secondly, a professional calibrator will be able to do a better job unless you are an expert yourself. If you are not an expert and can't get an expert, spare the $$$ and download freeware AVS HD 709 - Blu-ray & MP4 Calibration. It will do an equally good job.

May I add that calibration is only going to raise the bar of a TV by 10% or so. I doubt whether you will see a day and night difference after calibration.

Just now tried brightness = -5 on true cinema mode. It was really awesome watching bd of sherlock holmes2.
Reducing the brightness increased the value of luminous objects in the frames.

Daytime: On true cinema, brightness = -2, contrast = 45
Night: on true cinema, brightness =-5, contrast = 37
