Best Settings for 9 Band Equalizer in Denon 1611

Hi,

Can anyone recommend the best settings or share your experience for 9 band equalizer as mentioned below (in - or +db) which i can configure in my denon 1611 manual eq settings. The below 9 band equalizer can be set for individual speakers also. Recommend as in what would be the best for rock or bass or others

Also if can set the tone control to on & set the Bass & treble to +3db (6db is max)

There can be no GENERIC BEST settings... Those settings are there to calibrate your speakers to match the tone across all speakers.. best is to leave it flat at 0dB if you don't know how to calibrate your speakers or have a speaker set which has the same tonal quality across all speakers...

firstly the setting will depend on the recording of each song. for best output technically you will have to change according to each recording. the best way to do a setting is isolate and match the frequency of an individual band to the sound that it controls and set it to what levels your prefer. eventually its up to what you prefer to hear. if you like a bigger bass or more on the highs, of the mid to be out there

Just use your ears to set any equaliser. There is no set rules to do it. It depends on your personal preference. You have to practice a lot before you master to set it very fast. Most of the time a slight U-Cut setting with a n-cut at the mid will bring presence to your music.

Did you find best eq settings for your denon. I am also looking at good EQ curve for my Denon 3600H. The eq curve calibrated by audyssy is too flat.

My older amps have only bass , terrible settings which was easy to adjust. This EQ curve is little complex unless we know about frequency settings.
I am still exploring it , let me know if you find best EQ curve.
