Best TV for under 40k

Hello everyone,

I want to buy a 42" TV for home viewing which will mostly play SD content and HDrips from my laptop.

I am looking at the U30 series of Panasonic currently, both LCD and Plasma.

I found the blacks to be better on the LCD!! dunno what setting the shop was using, the LCD pictures were sharper and the blacks were really good. I am a bit startled as the DCR for panasonic LCDs is very low!!

I am a big fan of DLNA and I am looking for DLNA enabled TVs.

I am currently looking to buy from Flipkart, which is giving me a better price than the local dealers!

I'd appreciate if Bangalore members can tell me the best price available for P42U30 and L42U30 models from Panasonic.

I think the dynamic contrast ratio of most manufactures are hyped up.. similar to PMPOs of older gen music systems. Seeing is believing

FTR, I also like the VIERA series, especially the IPS panels and the beautiful viewing angles.. and I'm planning to buy the older generation L32U20D at around 23k.

@panny: Rs 41340/- for a 42'' lcd tv, that is not something I wsould go for. I saw some add on net... Discount on LED TVs.. If I can find the link again I will post u back.....

I am not a big fan of the artificial looking colors on the LED LCD TVs. I have decided on a plasma now and narrowed it down to Panasonic!

I checked in Devi International, Bangalore and they are quoting 43.5! If they come down, I will probably go with their offer.

Anyone in Bangalore knows where I can buy Panasonic Plasmas for a better price?
