Best way of International shipping to India

Hi All,

I am planning to get some audio gear shipped from abroad by a friend. What is the best way to get the items shipped without any hassles/delays? Also which service provider is best for shipping?

Recommend not to do that it is very risky game.Customs they will kill you.As I have imported one less weight item of value $153 and they valued it as Rs 6000/- then the costumes duty as Rs:- 2182/- terrific

So think thrice before you going to proceed

Thanks for that note. I am happy to pay for the customs (~30% in general as i understood for audio equipment) but not sure how they are going to charge it.

I am going to get the gear sourced from used market and hence paying less. Would they charge me on the amount paid or the original price? Just curious to know how they value it as this is the first time I am doing it.
