Hey everyone,
I'm looking to digitize some old 8mm film reels that have a lot of sentimental value.
I want to preserve as much of the original quality as possible—color, sharpness, frame rate, etc.
I've seen a range of options from DIY setups to professional services, and I'm not sure what's best.
Has anyone here had success with a particular method or service? I'm especially curious about frame-by-frame scanners vs. real-time recording.
Any recommendations, tips, or brands/models to avoid would be helpful.

thanks in advance for any help
