Anyone on this forum experimenting with binaural beats ?
Particularly those who make their own binaural beat compilation and can tell us about their experience.
Would be interesting to compare notes as things progress.

You can get a free download of Cool Edit 96 software from the web.
Adobe bought Cool Edit but not Cool Edit 96 and so it's apparently out of copyright now. Serial numbers are also available to make all functions available.
Cool Edit 2000 is also possibly out of copyright ( and has the Brainwave function).
Adobe owns Cool Edit Pro XX onwards and is called Audition but the Adobe versions do not have the Brainwave feature. So if the version you are looking at has the Brainwave feature it's free now. Nobody apparently owns it now.

There used to be a good user manual also and I had it long ago ( 15 years ago !). Must search it out. But of course now there are a lot of BW generators and some are free and PLENTY of information. The Cool Edit version is easy to use.
Wonder if they work on Win7 and Win8.1. XP is OK.

Have fun.
Cheers.
