Dear friends,
The intention behind this post is not to argue how good or how average the Bose speakers are. I am just trying to find a way that these famous speakers, (undeniably so) can be afforded by the ordinary man who has heard of or fancies the Bose speaker sound or label.
Surely, there are much better sound systems out there.. so don't start a slugfest or a direct attack on how good or average these speakers are.. That is not the intention behind this post.
Study the following costs:
Bose 161 pair: Rs. 12263
Bose 161 2 pairs: Rs.24526
Bose VCS 10 center channel: Rs. 10500 (Approx)
So total cost: Rs 35026.
Plus possible discounts.
Plus Rs. 15000 to Rs. 20000 on a good subwoofer like the Wharfedale SW 150 or the Sonodyne Roarr series.
Do my findings tempt you? Do you want to step up to the Bose sound?
This post is only to satisfy those FMs who dream about the Bose brand and who can't afford them. So please don't argue about the quality of the speakers here in this post.
Yours,
