Bought new 40D6600 samsung led

hi,

just bought samsung 40D6600 led tv in croma bangalore for 92k + 2 yr extended warranty. they promised to deliver the tv tomorrow. i will let you
know my experience. btw, now i have to go for good dth provider which one
do you think is best especially for HD channels. please suggest.

Congrats on yr new Samsung led tv, infact I also bought a new Samsung plasma 51 inch today.
Regarding dth, undoubtedly buy TataSky, they have the asli HD channels and only charge a reasonable amount of Rs 50 per month.

Sinbad - congrats on your purchase. Good choice. I saw the D6600 and it is fantastic with 2D. It may disappoint a bit with 3D but think of 3D as a bonus.

92K is with extended warranty? The display itself should be available for 86-88K. Couple of months there will be freebies and by last quarter price may hit below 80K (just going by Samsung pricing).

yeah, but by that time they will release some other model which would
be around 92k and it will be so gorgeous that you'll be forced to buy
that. so this thing goes on forever :lol:. actually it happened to me from the past 2 yrs. so i decided to go for it and forget about it and enjoy.

yes, for the first year samsung will cover the warranty.
after that 2 yrs the existing warranty will be covered by
croma. i thought its worth going for it considering that
they are charging only 2450 for 2yrs extended warranty. this
is included in the 92k price.

Did Croma give you the extended warranty certificate? Ensure all papers are printed and stamped so that you don't have to run around later. Also read carefully what the warranty covers. Will Croma cover the display exactly the way Samsung would?

the croma guys just called me that they are coming, hopefully by evening
i should have the tv set. sure i will take the pics and post it in couple of days.

they gave me a certificate for extended warranty and in the original receipt also they have details of extended warranty. i didn't ask for specifics of warranty, they claimed everything samsung covers will be covered in croma warranty. if any problem occurs they will try to service, if it is not serviceable then they will replace the set. that's what they said. i am not sure if they live upto their promise. i hope that i will never have to know.

i have to get a good dth service yet, anyway i have lot of downloaded bluray rip content i will post the pics with that.
