Dear Friends,
Buying 1 of the 42W850 / 42W700 / 40W900 today, In the mean time i was wondering if i could connect my Lumia 720 (black update) and use it as a key board for the TV, or is there a keyboard + track pad available that would connect with these TV's?
Thanks in advance,

Sunil

Thanks

Sunny, did you buy the TV. If so can you please post your buying experience and other details.
@sandeep.12
I finally bought the KDL 42W850. I bought the telly through capital first finance.I got it delivered on saturday and the guy from sony came on saturday night itself and opened the sealed box. I got it installed on table top, and the "technician" told me some very basic stuff and got me connected to the wifi network. He also handed me the wall mount brackets.

@aakashr:
I bought the 42W850A. well to shortlist among the 700, 850 and 900 was, the 700 was not having triluminous or any 3D. the 900 was having triluminous, but it has active 3D (read lots of users complaining of dizziness / headaches with active 3D) but 3D was not the main criteria. The 900 was about 5000 Rs more also!! :-D . The 700 and 900 have VA panels, which i read has better contrast and a closer "true black", but i felt the 850 IPS Panel was better suited to me in terms durability [ kids (which frequent my house) banging / pressing on the screen], and a better wider viewing angle.
I was also getting the 42" LG 6910 for 74 grand, but opted against it.

Guys I just bought a w850a 47inches.
Please let me know about how to test the burn in slides and also checking usage hours. I will be getting delivery in the morning.

congrats to you, but the settings will different for 850 and 950 as panels are different. If you can share your settings, will check if it good enough for 850 too. Thanks.

Friends,
I've been using the 42W850 since April 2014 and i might summarize it in just one word...AMAZING!!!!! (no wonder the SONY guys stopped this model)the PQ is superb, i have connected to Cable set top box, 1TB sony HDD, desk top PC (thru a 10 mtr long HDMI cable), LAN Cable and the occasional usb device. The ONLY hassle is it reads some MKV, MP4 files and some it does not, never understood why? been through 4/5 software updates since then.

Even lo-res Youtube videos look good (upscaling?).
The 3D (with 3D content input) is like WOW. The LG 3D Demo videos on Youtube are like mind blowing. 2D-3D conversion is just ok (even on full HD movies). WI-FI, Wireless connection on home network, DLNA on my Lumia 720 thru PLAYTO app worked like a charm.
The ONLY hassle is it reads some MKV, MP4 files and some it does not, never understood why? Any help / information / enlightenment from the group would be a great help. Been through 4/5 software up

Can you please list the calibration settings which you are using?

Thanks,
Sajjad.

@sajjad:
i have not really bothered with any tweaking of the settings, the defaults are pretty good (to me) i usually change the scene select mode based on input, with 24P auto, it auto kicks to the cinema scene. the sound also changes accordingly based on the selected scene.
