Brought Sony tz210 HT, has lot of questions

I am new to this HT Systems, some how I got tempted by sales executive words and brought sony tz210, I am happy with that while watching dvds, hearing fm,

But when connecting to TV, I have some doubts they told we can get surround sound from tv input too, but after going to lot forums I came to know its a virtual surround sound using prologicx, is that option is giving good o/p if I go for airtel HD stb?

If not is there any way I can reuse this speakers and buy any Onkyo`s AV receivers? If yes which one was the starting model?

Sony is cheating people like me by not saying that its a virtual surround sound, see what sony manual says :sad:

There is no cheating bro. It clearly says select 'PRO LOGIC'. The problem is with you expecting true surround sound from two channel inputs like your TV out. Even AVRs are using Dolby Prologic, DTS NEo6 etc. for creating virtual surround sound from stereo input. If the HTIB has 5.1 decoding capability through HDMI or optical or coaxial inputs then you can get True 5.1 from HD STBs. Please note only a few HD DTH providers like Airtel, Tatasky support 5.1. If possible sell it off and buy an Onkyo 3400.

No receiver can give you real 5.1 experience if you are giving it only 2 channel input.
They can only upscale

For real 5.1 experience you need a 5.1 source.

Ok I am trying to sell it :sad:, so now can you suggest me the best HT for my airtel hd dth and for hdmi dvd player. My budget is 25K. what are my choice, this time I dont want to blindly go for something.

check your TZ 210 if any spdif/optical input is there?
if yes you connect from airtel hd stb spdif/optical output.

otherwise change that stuff in the showroom and take something else.
buy a onkyo 3400 for 25k full satisfaction.
or a integrated amp and 2 bookshelf.
norge/sonodyne amp+wharfedale/sonodyne bookshelfs.

2 channel sound but much better than a 25 avr+spkr package.

normal 300 Rs hdmi cable will do enough justice.
connect this HT systems hdmi output into any of the inputs of your TV and select that input by TV remote.
sony/lg/samsung all ht systems are same toy story...
