Can I suggest that you also consider the idea of a good pair of bookshelfs and amplifier ? I am suggesting since you mention a small room. A higher quality speaker might give you more listening pleasure. Or maybe even a 2.1 if you are willing to stretch a bit

If your usage is going to be music primarily then invest in a stereo setup , not 5.1. With your budget you will get a decent stereo setup whose sound will blow any 5.1 setup out of the water that’s twice it’s price.

Agree. At this budget, you can get a really good stereo setup.

5.1 setups at this price are pretty decent for movies, but will be poor for music playback.
