I want to build a 5.1 home theatre but not at once.First i want to buy front speakers i have seen these Wharfedale Vardus 400 Floorstanding Speaker

but i think these need an amplifier??I dnt know much about amplifiers so how to choose a good amp??My total budget is 50k max(5.1 channel)

Need your suggestions on speakers, amplifier and woofer.

Ofcourse they will need amplifier. An AVR to be precise like Denon 1713 (30K) or Yamaha.
What is your room size? First you have to audition and then decide if you like sound quality and characteristics of the particular brand.
Wharfedale Vardus 400 is only 2 tower speakers, you will need a centre channel and 2 rear speakers for surrounds.
There are 2 options.
1. You can get a complete 5.1 package like Wharfedale DX-1. 5.1 Home Theatre System

2. Go for separates. You can gradually built your speakers by adding first 2 Fronts and then later when the budget permits buy other speakers. This is the best option.

But either way you need to increase your budget slightly.

THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO GO ABOUT IT.
EITHER U BUY A HOME THEATRE PACKAGE WHICH IS EASY BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS MATCHED AND U STAIGHT AWAY AUDITION THE SET. EXAMPLE ONKYO 3500, 4505 DENON 1312XP, YAMAHA 196,296. U HAVE JUST TO ADD A DVD/BLURAY PLAYER IF REQUIED. SOME HAVE USB FOR MUSIC FILES. THE PRICE RANGES FROM 25000 TO 35000 DEPENDING ON THE MODEL AND UR BARGAINING SKILLS.
PL VISIT THE RESPECTIVE WEBSITES FOR DETAILS.
THERE ARE SEVERAL THREADS ON THESE SYSTEMS IN HFV.

IF U WANT TO GO IN FOR BETTER QUALITY STUFF THEN U CHOOSE THE COMPONENTS OF UR HT SETUP DEPENDING ON UR NEEDS AND BUDGET.
SEPARTE AVR,SPEAKERS AND SUB WOOFERS CAN BE MIXED AND MATCHED.

FOR EX I WOULD INDICATE
JAMO hts 426 SPEAKER . THIS IS A 5 SPEAKER TOWER SET UP. RS.21000 IN RELIANCE AND RS. 24000 WITH JAMO DEALERS

JAMO SUB 200 RS.15-16000
YAMAHA /DENON ENTRY LEVEL AVR AROUND 25000

SO FAR ABOUT 50-60000 U HAVE COMPLETE SYSTEM WHICH IS FAR BETTER THAN THE PRE PACKAGED SYSTEMS AND U WOULD NOT BE REQUIRED TO UPGRADE WITHIN FEW YEARS.

THIS IS AN EXAMPLE. HOWEVER MANY PEOPLE ARE SATISFIED PRE PACKAGED SYSTEM AS IT IS COMPACT AND TAKES OUT THE HASSLE OF CHOOSING A SYSTEM AND U KNOW WHAT U ARE GETTING. BUT SEPARATES DO PROVIDE BETTER QUALITY FOR MUSIC ALSO IF U BUY GOOD BOOKSHEKF OR TOWERS FOR THE FRONT TWO SPEAKERS.

IF U GO FOR SEPARATES U SHOULD BE WILLING TO INVEST A LOT OF TIME AND ENERGY IN AUDITIONING AMD BELIEVE ME THE JOUNEY IS AS PLEASURABLE AS THE END WHEN U PURCHASE THE SYSTEM.

I am planning for the 2nd option only

How can i choose a good amplifier as i want to build 5.1 channel home theatre??I think stereo amplifiers dont work with this. How to check the watts before buying? say if front speakers range is 150W and subwoofer is 200W how to choose an amplifier that suits these both??

@rpanand25: Please avoid ALL CAPS. It is considered as shouting and above all it is not easy to read.
