Building a surround setup for my Yamaha HTR 3067

Hello All,

I have been reading this forum since a long time and I decided to take the plunge and register myself to this great forum.

I want advice for building a home theater system the following:

- I bought the Yamaha HTR 3067 AV Receiver from Reliance Digital Mumbai India, (the tech guy told me its the same receiver that comes along with YHT 299 system)

- Sony KLD W800 is my Tv with android and 3d.

- My room size is 18 x 12 with the sofa being on the 18 feet distance from the tv.

- I want to build a decent system with no specific budget but I am not keen on spending extreme. Decent budget (approx about 1 / 1.5 L) for the speakers.

- I heard the BOSE systems and somehow felt they are too much out of my budget and the sound was good but still not convincing (please correct me if I am wrong I am a novice here)

- I am ok with any combination as long as the sound is satisfyingly good.

Kindly guide me with the system assembling.

In terms of speakers, everyone has their own views on what type and which brand is the best......you will find a lot of opinions and advice....as the end user you need to decide which one appeals to you in performance, appearance and requirement.

Check the specs of the AVR and accordingly audition speakers that meet those technical specs in terms of output and impedance.....

With the budget you have, you can look at Wharfedale, Dalis, PSB, Focals, BIC America, Jamos, etc...
