Hi

Friends i settled upon these speaker sets,
please suggest if they are ok, and their price ok.

Part 1 ------

POLK front tower = TSx 440T (already purchased)

polk TSX 220 Rs.17000 (Surround pair)
polk TSX 250 Rs.17000 (center)
Sonodyne Roar 108 Rs.18900 (Sub whoof)

Any alternate speakers, VFM and performance in this price range ???

Part 2 ------
Based on above setup
confused between denon 1200 (around 80 watt ?)
and 520 (its old 5.2 but 130 watt)

and between yamaha v579
and yamahaa v581

No idea of pioneer lx, 800 plus and marantz
which will fit my budget of 40 to 50K for avr

regards

Now you have to audition those speakers with both the avr side by side with the same material to see which you like.

The audition will give you the idea of what that system is capable and which one you should buy. Instead of Denon 520 you can go with Denon x1200. Since it has 7.2. Also you are confusing with the power on both. Denon 520 bt is 130 watts at 6 ohms. whereas x1200 is 80 watts at 8 ohms. Denon 1200 is better than denon 520.

Another important feature is the Auddyssey multieq xt in denon x1200 but the denon 520 does not have it. You will not have the room correction feature in the entry level model.

Denon x1200 and 520 is not even a comparison. Go for x1200 out of the two for numerous reasons.

Why a Sonodyne Sub when you have good Polk sub woofers performing well in competitive price ranges?

I could not comment on the speakers as I have not heard any of them. For the AVR, Denon x1200 is a better option over 520.

If you have the opportunity to audition both Denon x1200 and Yamaha 579, then you could easily decide which one of the two based on what you liked more in terms of your perceived sound quality.

Cheers!

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
