Hi everybody! Need a little help here my uncle is gonna visit us in Mumbai from united states next month so I wanted him to bring some BDs from there. The problem is that I have a ps3 which is probably region C long story short after doing a bit research about region free BDs I have made a wish-list of BD titles as mentioned below. Please confirm if these titles are indeed region free and can be played on region C ps3 and also suggest some good titles I can add in the list. Thanks in advance.

Black Hawk Down
The Hangover (unrated edition)
The Dark Knight
King Kong
300
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen IMAX Edition
Transformers
Troy (Directors Cut)
The Last Samurai

Check the region codes here. This page has the US manufactured Blu-rays and their region code info -> Blu-Ray Region Code Info
Also if you want to check with European Blu-rays then just check region B (i.e. BD's that you can buy from UK etc) ..

according to the link you provided all my selected titles are Region free. BTW your BD collection is pretty awesome.

Ohh I missed the "suggest Blu-ray" part ;-) :-p .. Now here it goes,

1. Godfather
2. Avatar - Pure HD bliss, not a great movie though..
3. Matrix - that sound effect
4. Planet Earth - Best HD docu
5. If you liked TDK then get Batman Begins too

Try buying a hd dvd discs most of the titles you listed would be available and are far cheaper than the blue ray counterparts but the catch is you got to have a hd dvd player of hd dvd drive to enjoy the same. PQ is at par.

Isn't HD-DVD is almost a dying format? Even though it's good it'll be like a white elephant as the source materials will be very less. Or has there been renewal/resurgence of HD-DVD again? And how cheap are the HD-DVD's, curious to know.
